Ingredients

  • 3 Cups Fresh Berries, roughly chopped Can substitute frozen berries, cooking time may be longer
  • 3 Tbsp Water
  • 2 Tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 4 Tbsp Pure Maple Syrup
  • 1 Tsp Pure Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  • Add the berries, water, lemon juice, and maple syrup to a sauce pot over medium heat. Stir everything together and bring to a boil.
  • Lower heat to medium-low and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  • After 10 minutes, the berries should have broken down some. Mash them with a masher to break them down even more.
  • Add the vanilla and chia seeds and simmer on low heat for 3-5 more minutes. Allow to sit in the pan to cool for a few minutes. The jam will thicken upon sitting.
  • Store in an air-tight container or jar for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator. Enjoy!
